From pre-childbirth through postpartum, we offer physical, emotional, educational, and spiritual support tailored to meet your every need—even the ones you don’t know you’ll need yet.

Meet The Team!

Teara Q. Booker is the founder and owner of She’s So Well, a maternal health and wellness organization committed to empowering women and families from preconception to postpartum and beyond. With nearly 20 years of experience in maternal and public health, Teara is a trusted expert and advocate for improving outcomes, particularly for underserved and marginalized communities. Her expertise spans childbirth education, postpartum doula care, lactation support, sleep coaching, and perinatal mental health advocacy. As a certified yoga nidra and sound healing practitioner, she takes a holistic approach to maternal care, addressing the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the families she serves.

Teara’s work is deeply rooted in addressing health disparities, with a focus on reducing Black maternal mortality rates and improving access to culturally competent care. Through She’s So Well, she leads community-based initiatives such as support groups, wellness retreats, and educational resources designed to guide families through the challenges and joys of parenthood. Her passion for creating spaces of support and healing extends to her advocacy for menopause awareness, ensuring women are empowered throughout every stage of life.

Tamara Davis, Birth and Postpartum Doula, Operations Coordinator, Licensed Massage Therapist

Tamara Davis is a dedicated maternal health practitioner whose extensive experience and compassion make her a powerful advocate for families. A former US Army combat medic with a decade of service, Tamara’s military background instilled resilience, decisive action, and a deep commitment to supporting others—qualities that now shape her approach to maternal care. Her transition to civilian healthcare built upon this foundation, allowing her to bring unparalleled expertise to the families she serves.

 

With over 20 years of experience in diverse medical roles, including medical assistant, gastroenterology technician, and anesthesia technician, Tamara possesses a broad and nuanced understanding of healthcare. Her five years as a doula highlight her passion for maternal health, where she provides emotional, physical, and educational support to mothers throughout pregnancy, birth, and postpartum. Tamara’s holistic approach ensures that families feel empowered and nurtured during this pivotal time.

 

As a licensed massage therapist, Tamara integrates stress relief and physical recovery into her care practices, addressing the unique needs of mothers during pregnancy and beyond. Her dual bachelor’s degrees and certification as a master resiliency trainer reflect her dedication to education and lifelong learning, enabling her to stay at the forefront of maternal health advancements.

 

Tamara’s work exemplifies her belief that every family deserves comprehensive and compassionate care. Her commitment to supporting mothers, promoting resilience, and fostering healthy beginnings for both parents and babies makes her an invaluable resource in the maternal health community.​​

Antwanette Summers, Full Spectrum Doula, Certified Child Birth Educator, and Perinatal Mental Health Specialist

Antwanette Summers is a devoted maternal health practitioner with over 20 years of healthcare experience and a decade as a doula. A mother of three, she is deeply passionate about empowering expecting parents to advocate for themselves and achieve safe, fulfilling birthing experiences. Through childbirth education and individualized support, Antwanette works to reduce Black maternal mortality rates and improve outcomes for families in her community.

 

Specializing in perinatal mental health, Antwanette’s approach is holistic and inclusive, offering unwavering support to both mothers and fathers as they navigate the journey of parenthood. Whether supporting home births, hospital deliveries, or cesarean births, she is committed to creating a tranquil and healthy environment for her clients. Her work extends to holding space for Black fathers, ensuring their voices and experiences are honored during this transformative time.

 

Guided by her personal journey, evidence-based practices, and advanced training, Antwanette provides physical and emotional care tailored to align with her clients’ unique values and needs. She believes in the power of coaching women through positive pregnancy experiences and fostering confidence in their birthing choices. Antwanette’s dedication to maternal health is a testament to her commitment to building strong, healthy families.

Gabriell Garner,  Birth and Postpartum Doula, Newborn Care Specialist, Pediatric Sleep Consultant 

With a passion for supporting families and ensuring the well-being of babies, Gabriell Garner is a certified birth and postpartum doula, newborn care specialist, and pediatric sleep consultant. Gabriell’s journey into maternal and childcare began in 2006 as an early childhood educator, where she developed a deep commitment to nurturing young minds and fostering healthy development. In 2011, she transitioned to a full-time nanny role, gaining invaluable hands-on experience caring for infants and toddlers while providing parents with the support they needed.

 

Gabriell’s own journey into motherhood deepened her understanding of the challenges families face, particularly during the postpartum period. Witnessing the gaps in support for new parents, she felt a calling to provide compassionate and practical care. From easing the postpartum transition and addressing sleep deprivation to guiding parents through infant milestones and the return-to-work journey, Gabriell’s work empowers families to navigate parenthood with confidence and ease.

 

Driven by her dedication to creating a strong foundation for babies and their families, Gabriell’s holistic approach prioritizes both physical and emotional well-being. Her expertise and nurturing presence make her an invaluable partner to families as they embark on one of life’s most transformative journeys.

Victoria Meehan, Postpartum Doula, Certified Sleep Coach, and Early Childhood Educator 

Victoria Meehan is a passionate maternal health practitioner whose journey supporting children and families began in 2008. While earning her degree in Early Childhood Education and Special Education, Victoria discovered her love for working with infants, toddlers, and preschoolers during her time as an educator. She cherished building meaningful relationships with families and saw firsthand the joys and challenges of parenthood. These experiences inspired her to explore ways to provide even greater support beyond the classroom.

 

In 2020, Victoria transitioned from teaching to her current role as a postpartum doula, a career that allows her to guide families through the transformative early weeks of parenthood. With her compassionate and practical approach, she helps parents establish a strong foundation during this crucial time. To further assist families, Victoria expanded her expertise by becoming a certified sleep coach, offering solutions to foster healthy sleep routines for both parents and children.

 

Victoria’s mission is to empower families with the tools and support they need to thrive. Drawing on her extensive experience, professional training, and personal passion, she is dedicated to ensuring that every family feels confident and capable as they navigate the joys and challenges of parenthood.

 

Tyla Booker, Maternal Mental and Behavioral Health Technician

Tyla Booker is a maternal health practitioner whose unique combination of expertise as a trained doula and psychologist allows her to provide comprehensive support to families. With a deep understanding of both the physical and emotional aspects of pregnancy and postpartum, Tyla is dedicated to empowering mothers and families during their most transformative moments.

 

As a psychologist, Tyla brings valuable insight into the mental health challenges that can arise during the perinatal period. Her ability to hold space for the emotional complexities of parenthood ensures her clients feel seen, heard, and supported. Coupled with her training as a doula, Tyla provides compassionate care that bridges the gap between emotional well-being and physical support.

 

Tyla’s mission is to nurture families by addressing their holistic needs and equipping them with the tools to thrive. Her unique perspective and dedication make her an invaluable resource in maternal health, fostering resilience, empowerment, and healthy beginnings for parents and their children.
